We should care, their middle schoolers and high schoolers attend our White House Sumner County schools. Liberty Creek was built to take some of the pressure off of schools over by Station Camp side of Cottontown, (I think that’s correct), also experiencing record growth. With their major boom still continuing, especially Gallatin, I suspect they won’t be looking to add another on this side, rather expand what we already have possibly? Who knows? I only see snippets of information at best. I don’t attend those meetings, just hoping we don’t have another whopping 17% tax increase like we did a few years back. Especially with todays economy, but I fear it’s coming.
I don’t think we’re done with this record growth, you only have to keep watching California and see what’s happening out there, the west in general are losing folks in record numbers and I can’t say that I blame them. All the more reason to be more proactive to infrastructure. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, I hope we’re squeaking as loud as we can to TDOT. Whatever made them build up hwy 31 on the north side of town seems all the developing was here, but the same has to happen down the ridge as well as the FULL length of 76! I’ll tout that message until it happens or I’m dead and buried. Hopefully the latter won’t come first! :)
This Saturday 8 am at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian church there is a breakfast of the Conservative Sumner County Republican Party. All are welcome. They worked hard to replace the Sumner Co. Board of Education, so make your voices heard and lend a hand if you can.
I wish I could. I'm in the middle of wrestling season. I coach and we have a tournament on Saturday. I have some good friends in that group. Keep up the great work over there.
