You are amazing, Nikki! I wish you had some official leadership with our city, but if you did, you would be stifled from reporting the facts (& opinions) as you do so well. I would like to know what prompted you to take on this worthy endeavor. Regardless, I/we are proud of you & thankful you follow what’s going on & share with the community!
When they decided to build 450 homes on the Jackson Farms property I got involved. I went door to door up and down Calista and Volunteer and Wilkinson to tell my neighbors. It was too late. Then when the city administrator talked to me like I was nothing, I got mad. When the local paper refused to run the story about the mayor, then I got active. I guess that's it in a nutshell. Thank you for the encouragement. It's a lot of work sometimes, but I've met some pretty amazing people in the last year. While I can't stand the fast food and the explosive growth, I love this community.
