They're Back.....
Burris Ridge is back, back again
On Tuesday March 25th, the Burrus Ridge developers will be back in front of the city. You know, the one that held a community meeting back in the early 2020’s and we told them we didn’t want their project at all? The one that they requested 956 homes, but only got 650 because that was what the current zoning on it was. They have discovered that the terrain over there is a little steep. That’s funny, the people that live over there knew that.
Well, they will be in front of the Board of Zoning Appeals on Tuesday, next week. They are asking that the lot sizes be reduced in phases 3B and 4 so they can get in the same number of homes since they can’t build on phase 5.
How about hell to the no!!! Their failure to do due diligence is NOT the problem of the city or the residents. They can build less homes. How about they just get rid of phase 5 and leave the rest as is? Problem solved. No need for new plans. No need to come in front of the board. No need for expensive changes to the plans.
This is a public comment item. Show up or at least send an email and tell the members of this board that we do NOT approve. We didn’t approve of this in the first place, we certainly do not approve of it now.
We are full here on the Robertson County side, and it’s not done yet. Please show up to this meeting and tell this board that the developer’s issue is NOT ours, and we do not approve of this change.
I agree, do you want the short answer or the long answer? NO or HECK NO! If you listened to the meeting ROBCO school board had regarding schools redistricting they never said “anyone wishing to remain where they are will be permitted to” he specifically noted there will be a “lottery” and that if you were wishing to remain where you are you could participate in that, there are still plenty of folks that are going to be uprooted and more frustration to come. Reading many of the Hip WH comments, I don’t think many picked up on that detail. Those poor families, their heads must be spinning!
If you saw the issues with schools being rezoned, this is only the beginning.
