You’re somewhat correct on some of your reporting on this issue. Daryl Rodgers is the emergency services committee chairman in sumner county. John Micheal Poss is the EMS Director. A ems station is not a Garage it’s a home for EMS personel as well as ambulances. From what I’ve understood there’s a change this station could house 2 ambulances and a supervisor which one also include. Multiple Bedrooms, kitchen, offices, bathrooms just like your home enough for 15 people over 3 days. So more goes into to that. Plus city building codes of nice brick and sprinkled building. The sumner county commissioners are pushing ems to get that side of the county back though they are very mistaken and don’t understand how much better White House is with Robertson taking care of us. They are under the impression sumner has a faster response time which they didn’t.

Thank you for that. I really didn't have a deep understanding of the facility when I started this process. I realize it is more than a "garage." LOL. However, you are correct, WH is fine the way it is. That is exactly what the city has said as well. Thank you for reading.

It would sound like there are plans to continue building from the east side of 31W to Tyree Springs and east. That would require additional EMS and fire. I have never gotten from any official an answer about the Bethel Rd, I 65 area and where the county and cities line is. Funny if they can issue beer permits, collect sales taxes, property taxes they should know.

The issue is who services which areas. Yes, if they keep building they will need additional EMS, but all of those houses on Tyree are WH city limits. Those are serviced by RobCo and RobCo will need more ambulances.

They never give anything without a strings attached. Over the snow here as well. Went out on to Bethlehem Rd where my son and wife live. Scary stuff driving on two inches of ice. Crawled our way thru White House Estates and Maxi Jones, all of it was scary! Stay safe! Hopefully Tuesday will be the big melt!

I must have missed something. Why on earth with the growth Sumner is experiencing would they need to tap in to a revenue recovery act? There’s no lack of money in Sumner that I see. Just how many times can our paychecks get taxed and given away? Hope you survive those boys during this white out. 😉. Thanks for the info.

From what I have learned, the feds just handed it out. WH got money as did the counties. The interesting part will be to learn what kind of strings were attached to the different grants. Mostly at the school level. And we are OVER the snow over here. Ugh.

It would be interesting to see the plans and specs for a2,000,000 garage.

Right!!!! It seems the money could be better spent if we don't need it over here. It almost seems like they just need to spend the money. My money, your money, my in-laws' money from Iowa, everyone's money. Ugh. The money has been appropriated, my understanding is that the mayor can now use it how he sees fit on that project. What I'm always looking for is who benefits? It's not always the people.

Did you ask the Sumner County Mayor for an explanation?

I did not. I watched him speak at the budget meeting. I did speak with several county commissioners and they have yet to get an explanation from the mayor.
