I think that perhaps you should run for president. I too am sick of all things government. Our country is beyond broken, and I don't even know if there is a way to fix it at this point.

Thanks. I think that my skin is not quite thick enough and I have way too much common sense. LOL It cannot be fixed. It needs a "reset." And not the type the WEF wants. Unfortunately it would be really painful for years. We need to rip off the bandaid of welfare, both for people and corporations. Any thing NOT in the constitution needs to go away. No one will ever vote for that.

I completely agree with you on transparency and I also think there is some truth to the lack of need for "politics" in local government. On the other hand, I'm a "Boomer" and I don't think it's fair to lump all of us into a single group any more than it's fair to lump any generation into one. This is what bothers me the most about our society right now. It's become so "tribal" that there's very little willingness to talk or listen or negotiate with anyone who has the wrong label. Young and old, left and right should be able to talk to each other respectfully without fear of getting "benched" by their team. In my experience, life is not a team sport, and finding "win-win" solutions is the better way to go. And now, this old boomer is off to take his mid-morning nap. LOL!

You are right, not all Boomers are created equally. The ones in DC have made careers out of being politicians. That is NOT how it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, I'm a little bitter about boomers. I was raised by a couple. The destruction done to the family beginning in the 60's has hit our society HARD, and I am a product of that destruction. I'm not tribal. No tribe will have me.

In looking at folks running for School Board Sears, play close attention. Some call themselves “Constitutional Republicans”. They are not what our school system needs.

I've met the "constitutional republicans." So far they are the ones that want public comment at meetings and regular republicans do not. The school system needs a complete overhaul. Unfortunately, there are very few who truly understand that.

I think “Boomers” who have lived through the largest amount of “politics at its worst” are as fed up as any. Don’t start flooding my inbox with ads like you’ve known me for years. If you’ve not made it a point to tell me what you’ve been doing during your term, keep sales pitch to yourself. Have you noticed politicians have removed all associations with parties? You can’t tell what party they’re from, and yes Sumner is a hot mess and only getting worse. They forget where their paycheck comes from.

And don't get me started on "boomers." It's time they all retire from politics. We are sick of their 60's social justice nonsense. Love or hate Biden, he's been up there for 50 years, and nothing has changed. TERM LIMITS!!!!!

It’s true, but it used to matter. You’re right though, it really doesn’t anymore.

At the local level, it should not matter what party they are with. Local politics should not need parties. A local mayor or commissioner or school board member should not have a party affiliation. They are not deciding nation or state wide policy. People should be running because they want what is best for the city, or county, or school district. We should all want transparency no matter what party we vote for at the federal level. We should all want traffic lights, managed growth, and small businesses. This whole thing about parties at the local level seems silly to me, but I'm not in charge. LOL

But supporting the far right folks is not the answer.

According to the media, I'm "far right." What does that even mean? Be careful what you are watching and reading. That's all I'm saying.

Right, extreme either side is dangerous these days.
