Wonder how many of those crashes are related to texting? We are killing each other every day because of a HABIT! I believe they have superseded the drunk driver as the most dangerous highway killer. When the phone exceeds 5mph it should be disabled. You can catch up when you stop.

I’m not sure it’s as much a problem of self love as it is the lack of teaching consequences for their actions. The reference of “helicopter moms” began when parents stopped having one home teaching children, and they had children at the end of a cell phone. I guess there’ll always be a need for that but teaching never stops, and personally I don’t think you can teach it from the end of a phone. I’m thankful this didn’t end up fatal as well, but how many near misses does it take before a fatality does happen, and everyone wished someone did something sooner? Teaching does start at home, and kids will be kids, but take a few tickets and reprimands from police and they get the message pretty quickly. Next will be Bethlehem Road, Pleasant Grove Rod, Cross Plains Rd. They are all treacherous yet no one is slowing cars down, no consequences...yet.

I came through there last night about the time the first picture was taken. I've been driving Calista Road for the more than 22 years I've lived off Pleasant Grove Road. I promise you I make people mad almost every day intentionally driving the speed limit down this road. I personally have come up on 2 accidents on this turn....

Same!!!! We lived on Pleasant Grove for 10 years. People ride right up on me when I drive the speed limit.

This is a problem for all drivers who don’t take seriously the fact they are driving a two ton killing machine. And don’t take into account the speed limit might actually be too high in some locations - like 45 on a curvy narrow tree-lined road!
