Why do I write these things? I keep asking myself the same question. Here is why: Darkness is only exposed by the light. I’m tired of the darkness. I’m tired of being a peasant. In the 1700’s, the people were tired of the king. Well, I’m tired of the “lords” that think they run the federal, state, and local governments. (That’s my intro to this one, and this one is something)
It’s all the same. From the local to the federal level, it’s all the same. Politicians are not there to better your life. We all know that the US senators and congressmen are NOT getting rich on their $174k a year. However, we see them with huge portfolios that seem to grow while they are “serving” their citizens. Can we prove they are up there getting rich? Well, kind of. Can we accuse them illegal conduct without proof? Nope. Please explain to me how Joe Biden has only ever been a public servant, and is now a multimillionaire. And if you want to tell me it’s from book deals and speaking engagements, I’ve got a lovely ocean front property to sell you here in White House.
In 2022, I was angry about the 1000 homes being dropped on my road. I’m still angry about it. I look out at a sea of vinyl siding and mud from my living room window and wonder about the traffic that is going to ensue when these houses are all complete. My anger led me to look into the local politicians here in White House. What I discovered was all “coincidence.” Men that had been involved in politics here in White House or Robertson County for years, just happened to own property where the TVA tapped the land for industrial use. A former mayor that got campaign donations from a developer and then happened to sell his property to that developer. A former mayor that happened to work for a construction company that happened to put water and sewer lines into a subdivision that the mayor happened to approve. You really can’t make this stuff up. Of course there is more information out there about the local politicians that I can’t print, because I can’t prove it. There is no paper trail. There probably is a paper trail, but that would require access to finances etc. that I don’t have. I’m a peasant in the oligarchy we call America.
No actual accusations can be made because no criminal activity can be proved. All that can be said is that things do not appear appropriate. The people in White House knew something was off, and we fixed it in 2022. The people in Millersville look like they are on the same path.
Down in Millersville, some interesting things have transpired. (I watched your meeting last week and oh my) You have a city commissioner that started a company called ‘FU Tommy Long, LLC.’ Tommy Long is the mayor of Millersville.

The company is owned by Winston Templet, husband of Cristina Templet, city commissioner. Not a crime, just bad taste in my opinion. Did you know that same commissioner purchased property from the city?

The photos include a screenshot of a 2021 city commission meeting where a sale was made from the city of Millersville to Stapro Investments LLC. The second photo is of Commissioner Templet’s disclosure form sent in to the state when you run for office. StaPro Investments LLC is owned by her. Is this illegal? I’m not a lawyer. Here is the code that discusses this practice. Should she have voted on the sale? In my opinion, no. This is the kind of thing that drives Americans crazy. Someone who sits in office and is also involved in an industry where they could benefit from their position is what “we the people” are tired of.

This is not an accusation against the Templets.. This is about optics, and it looks bad when you are purchasing property from a city where you sit on the board to make decisions. Just like it looked bad for Mayor Arnold to sell his property to a developer that was building in WH. (at least he abstained from the vote)
This is a wake up call to the people that vote. At what point will you be tired of the coincidences? At what point does it get old? We can’t prove anything! Read that again, WE CAN’T PROVE ANYTHING!!! It just gets old. The same people who own the properties sit in positions of decision making. When do we get tired of the excuses?
When you have a city mired in speculation of inappropriate behavior, a police force that has been sued and lost, and city meetings that are the subject of ridicule around the area, why would you stoke the fire? (see the links here and here for the latest city meeting)
The city of Millersville hired a new police chief just over a month ago. Robert Richman had been under investigation in Texas. He responded to the people of Millersville on one of their Facebook pages.
If your city has been sued and under investigation, why in the world would you hire anyone that had even a hint of scandal in their background? Personally, I would be looking for Mother Teresa to come and work for my city. I don’t know anything about Mr. Richman. He may be a great man and a great chief, but for a city with serious problems, he might not have been the greatest choice. Why would your city hire him? Why would your city manager even give a second look at his resume after doing a simple Google search? Maybe because your city manager had issues of his own. Former city manager Scott Avery had been fired from his previous post in Houston MO in 2022. Again, a city with issues hires a city manager with his own. Was anyone thinking about optics down there or does it just not matter because we don’t have a local media?
With the special election, the people in Millersville put the fifth commissioner in office and terminated the city manager, the city attorney, and the new chief of police. It looks like the people down the ridge from us are tired of the status quo as well. Let’s hope they are working on putting people in place without the appearance of impropriety.
It’s hard to know what your elected officials are up to. Every city used to have a local paper that would tell you. In the age of the internet, it’s really easy to find out what your candidates and officials are involved in. You can look at their campaign finance information, their disclosures, and property searches. You either need to do it yourself, or find someone willing to do it.
The only people that can fix this are the voters. Only you can vote these people out. Only you can run for office. Only you can pay attention to what your “representatives” are up to. It’s time we stop accepting excuses and “coincidences” and start electing people that represent us, and not special interests. Whatever those interests might be.
I took the time to watch those two videos and wow, what a dumpster fire down there in Millersville. Shocking!
You are just as bad as the rest of them. Maybe call the people you’re blasting this misleading info. My husband or myself would have talked to you. However, since you’re not interested in the truth and even trying to prove your theory, you can wait until you hear about. I’m just shocked but don’t disagree with some of the things you’ve written. You article in my opinion is distasteful since you didn’t even try to contact some of you are misleading.
