I agree Randy. You add one tournament or large event to that facility and parking needs will go through the roof! Look at the soccer fields if you need a model for parking needs in the city during an event.

I believe the city needs to hold onto the property. Once the center is up and running I think they will quickly see the need for additional parking. Shared parking with the church is just a bandaid solution.

You are probably correct. I would send an email to the aldermen letting them know how your thoughts.

Seriously with the chickens again. This was voted down once because of ALL the issues stated in the policy but I see now the board has swayed. Having 50 people say they are okay with chickens out of nearly 14,000 people is not a compelling majority. Disease, noxious smell, pests and predators and the general filth. Now, the avian flu as well.

The city can’t “afford” animal control, so why the insistence of bringing more animals into the city. https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/animal-health/avian-influenza/avian-influenza-companion-animals#:~:text=Keep%20cats%20indoors.,or%20poultry%20and%20unpasteurized%20milk

It really has been an ongoing debate. I still think it will only affect a handful of people. Probably the people that already have them. I guess we will see.

Linda served this community as an alderman. I removed your comment as it was rude.
