Mayor Corbitt, Alderman Wall, and Jennifer Collado were absent for this meeting. Next month’s meeting was moved to July 21st and that was noted. Numbers 2 and 3 were withdrawn so that was also noted in the minutes.
Item #1- No one signed up to speak. The property owner is in poor health and was not able to be at the meeting. The property being discussed is 3345 Calista Road.

The three acres on parcel 34 is currently not in the city limits. Everything around it, minus parcel 31 is in city limits. Dolly Peay asked what they could build if it was annexed. It would come in at R-20. That would allow roughly 6 houses, but with infrastructure, you would more realistically be looking at 4-5 homes. Peay asked what could be built if it were accepted into the Calista Farms PUD. Planning director Clark stated that they could add 8-10 homes, but if it stays in the county, that’s an unknown. Most likely in the county only 3 homes. Peay asked about the pond next to it. City administrator Herman said that parcels 31 and 34 are not in the city. Parcel 31 is about a half acre and the man that owns it has lived there his entire life. It is in bad shape, and the buyer does not want it. Clark added that any changes to this property will have to go through planning and BOMA. Peay stated that planning does not need to approve the PUD. Herman said, correct, it comes in at R-20 and they would need to request a rezone. Peay asked about flooding on Calista. Herman said that the property in question is across from the retention pond on Collins Crossing. Stage Coach development has already let the city come over there and upgrade the pipes under Calista. Annexing this will only help with storm water. Herman is unsure as to what else will need to be done if it comes into the PUD. Clark added again that any changes to zoning will have to come before the planning commission and BOMA. Peay added that StageCoach already owns this property, she checked the deed. She also asked if they would be wanting access to Calista from this property. Herman said they will deny all access to Calista from this property. Calista is slated to be widened, and that project will require access. The city is currently in the process of getting right of ways to widen Calista from Indian Ridge to Bill Moss. Clark added that they will need access to the units, but he has seen a cul-de-sac drawing. Murphy added that the city should have control of this property so that all changes have to come before the city.
