All members of the board were present last night for the meeting. There were two changes to the agenda. Numbers one and five were removed. Number five still needs to be reviewed by the city. Changes to the agenda were approved as were the minutes from last month. No one was signed up for public comment.
The consent agenda items were all bond extensions subject to the 15% increase. Approved.
Item # 5 Bridle Creek: Request Final Plat for 70 single family lots. Property is referenced as Sumner County Tax Map 96, Parcel 20.00 and is zoned R-15, Medium Density Residential. Property is located at Thoroughbred Way and Grayson Lane. Owner: Jab Bldrs., LLC.
Item # 6 Tate Ornamental: Request Site Plan Approval for a 56,500 sq ft warehouse facility. Property is referenced as Robertson County Tax Map 95, Parcel 75. Property is zoned I-2, Heavy Industrial, and is located at 131 Center Drive. Owner: HST Holdings, LLC. Tennessee Ltd Liability Co. c/o Harold and Sarah Tate This is for a new building for Tate Ornamental. Their current building is on industrial and they are moving their marble division to Center Drive. The photo states they are moving their mill work division, but that is a mistake. The mill work division is item #7 on the agenda.
They are requesting to build across the street, item #7 is the building that will re-home the mill work division. They are trying to move all of their industry out to Industrial/Center drive. Ceagus Clark, planning director, added that the city is very happy with the project. There will be extra buffer added between the new project and the Kelly Dairy Farm. Approved
Item # 7 Tate Ornamental Expansion: Request Site Plan Approval for a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Property is referenced as Robertson County Tax Map 95, Parcel 69.00. Property is zoned I-1, Light Industrial and is located at 418 Industrial Drive. Applicant/Developer: Cast Development This is the second building that the Tate’s are requesting approval for. This one will replace their Sage Road building.
This property backs up to I65 and will have a similar look to item #6. It will be complimentary to the other buildings. Jennifer Collado asked if there would be screening for the dumpster pad so it could not be seen from the freeway. There will be screening. Mayor Corbitt asked what will happen to the Sage Road property. Clark responded that it will most likely be sold. Approved.
Item # 8 Concord Springs-Phase 2: Request Recommendation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for acceptance. Section two of Concord Springs has been inspected and is ready to be accepted by the city. Approved.
The meeting was adjourned. Clark did mention that there were more items coming to the board next month including a developer looking at the Bill Moss property.
