All board members were present. The agenda was adopted and the minutes approved. There were no proclamations, no one signed up for public comment, and no one signed up for the public hearing.
Alderman Wall started with communications. He wanted to clarify his vote on the liquor store ordinance. He is not against another liquor store, he is against the ordinance. Liquor stores are the only industry that we discriminate against. Wall is for free and fair competition and competition will work itself out. He also thanked the K-9 Sergeant for his ride along.
Alderman Matthews thanked the librarian Elizabeth for her 12 years of service. She’s moving on and she has been fantastic for the library and the city wishes her well.
City Administrator Herman also wished the librarian well in her new venture. TDOT has given the city authorization for the right of way phase of 31W and Raymond Hirsch. This is phase 3 of 4 that they have authorized, and there is no right of way to obtain. Sage Road will have traffic delays in the upcoming months, but the project should be finished by August, which will be about the same time as the Pleasant Grove project. The floors are in the rec center. They have started sanding and sealing. There were four bids on the concession stand. The committee went with a local group of women. They should be ready for the June 30th opening. The goal is still to have the parking lot and gym open for the May volleyball season. The representative that helped the city with the funding for the rec center came for a tour. He is really impressed with the more than $1 million the finance director saved the city with the way he handled the draws on the loans.
Reports were acknowledged and there were no resolutions.

I’m thankful for the opinion Mike Wall shared. I agree, we should support businesses and then let the market decide, within reason.
Thank you for keeping us informed about our community.
I don't think most people realize the time and money spent .
Again Thank you
